Job Description:
Green River Alliance Church is seeking a passionate individual for a part-time Director role, focused on serving Children and Students. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to make a meaningful impact in a local church setting.
The Director will play an integral role in both kids and student ministries, overseeing key activities and initiatives. This hands-on opportunity provides the chance to gain practical ministry experience, develop leadership abilities, and deepen personal faith—all within a supportive and encouraging environment.
The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a vibrant ministry, working alongside volunteers, and creating a positive, engaging experience for children and students. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in Christian ministry while serving the local church.
Key Areas of Oversight:
- Kids Ministries (Nursery–5th Grade)
- Student Ministries (6th–12th Grade)
- Volunteer recruitment and training for both ministries
- Curriculum selection and planning
- Family communication and spiritual support
- Safety and child protection policies
Job Responsibilities
- Kids Ministry (50%)
- Lead Sunday programming and special events like VBS with age-appropriate, gospel-centered teaching
- Coordinate program, volunteer and teaching schedules
- Choose or adapt curriculum
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, fun and clean environment
- Create and maintain check-in/check-out safety procedures
- Student Ministry (40%)
- Lead weekly student ministries programs for middle and high school students
- Plan monthly hangouts or outreach events
- Build mentoring relationships with students
- Encourage student participation in Sunday worship and service projects
- Organize getting students to camp at YAA every year
- Parent & Volunteer Support (10%)
- Communicate regularly with families
- Recruit and train volunteers
- Provide volunteer orientation and encouragement
- Share family discipleship tools and resources
- Help organize joint family/student events

Educational Qualifications: Education You’ve Received
Bachelor’s degree: optional but preferred
Willingness for continued informal education
Compensation
This is a part time (20 hour/week) position. Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging between $15,000–$20,000 per year.
