We are looking for a passionate, caring individual to lead our Kids Ministry. The ideal candidate will have a strong relationship with Jesus, experience in children's ministry, and the ability to incorporate technology into teaching and activities. They should be willing to learn church management software, digital content creation, and AV tools. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging both children and parents. The role also requires the ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers, as well as a knack for organisation and creativity. Weekly Hours:
20 hours/week
Compensation
This is a part-time (20 hours/week) position.
Key Areas of Oversight:
- Kids Ministries (Nursery–5th Grade)
- Volunteer recruitment and training for both ministries
- Curriculum selection and planning
- Family communication and spiritual support
- Safety and child protection policies
Job Responsibilities
- Kids Ministry
- Lead Sunday programming and special events like VBS with age-appropriate, gospel-centered teaching
- Coordinate program, volunteer and teaching schedules
- Choose or adapt curriculum
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, fun and clean environment
- Create and maintain check-in/check-out safety procedures
- Parent & Volunteer Support
- Communicate regularly with families
- Recruit and train volunteers
- Provide volunteer orientation and encouragement
- Share family discipleship tools and resources
- Help organise joint family/student events
Sample Weekly Schedule
Monday: Day off
Tuesday: 9:00am to 1:00pm (4 hours)
Wednesday: 4:00pm to 8:00pm (5 hours)
Thursday: 9:00am to 12:00pm (3 hours)
Friday: Day off
Saturday: Day off (Leadership meetings - 2nd Saturday of each month starting in
October from 9-10:30am - 3 hours)
Sunday:
Morning: 10:00am to 12:00pm (2 hours)
Evening: 5:00pm to 8:00pm
