Everyone has a next step in growing in their relationship with Jesus. We want to give you the tools you need to take the next steps in your journey to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.
Whether that's publicly declaring your faith in Jesus by getting baptized or leading your first small group, each step is key to growing closer to Jesus and living out the purpose He has for your life.
I’M NEW - We want to make it easy for people to connect to our church. We host a monthly opportunity for visitors to get to know our church and ask questions.
LEARN ABOUT OUR CHURCH - August 25 & September 8.
This is a class where people can discover the ins and outs of our church, learn details about the Christian and Missionary Alliance, our beliefs, the leadership of the church and how we intentionally organize our church. At the end, those who attend will be invited to become members. Membership is a commitment to a deeper level of service in the church. It takes about an hour after church.
PRAYER STRATEGY - We can get to a place in our life when we feel like something is missing. It’s probably a connection problem: are we disconnected from God and too connected to the world? Prayer and fasting can have a powerful impact on setting our life back on track. Prayer connects us to God.
BAPTISM September 22 - Water baptism is available upon request. We usually have baptisms in our service on Sunday mornings twice a year at least. We ask for a week's notice of more so we can set up the baptismal. We hold baptisms in other places as well. People interested in baptism can get more information or register on our website.
DISCOVER YOUR GIFTS - This is an opportunity for people to take a spiritual gift assessment, review the results and explore areas where they could best use their spiritual gifts within the church. There is a place to register on the church’s website.
SERVE IN A MINISTRY - It is so important to use your gifts and passions to make a difference here at Green River Alliance and in our community. There are many different teams to serve on. From greeter on Sunday morning to leading a small group, each team makes an important impact for the Lord.
COMMUNITY GROUP - These are groups that we use to care for each other. We all need each other and through Women’s, Men’s and Young Adult Bible Studies we can experience life together through the word of God. Parents with kids birth to 5th grade also have a community group opportunity. There are even community groups in our kids and student ministries.
